In these surreal times, when writers are facing cancelled book launches and writing conferences, as well as layoffs at day-jobs, we want to make our contest accessible to as many flash fiction writes as possible. So we are supporting our community by offering a reduced entry fee of $5 for one entry to furloughed workers, service industry employees, and full-time writers who do not teach or receive grant funding. We hope this helps writers struggling to afford submission and entry fees. We believe in writers. Stories matter now more than ever.
