Flash Fiction Prize Winners Wowed the Audience at Our Awards Ceremony
Kudos to Andrea Barbosa, Jennifer Leeper & Mel Algood for their moving readings of their prize-winning flash fiction pieces on 8/18 at Writespace in Houston. The audience and our staff were touched by your evocative pieces featuring a strong female protagonist. We can't wait to publish your work in the special bonus section of our 2017 release, "Andromache" by Kate Spitzmiller.

Join Our Creative Family
We're hiring an experienced, feminist, flexible writer to join our team as a part-time editorial & office assistant in Houston. The position requires strong organizational abilities, excellent writing skills, social media savvy, flexibility, honesty, and a college degree or an equivalent military service record. Must be available beginning mid-September. Initial compensation is $16 an hour plus sales commission and event bonuses. We are thrilled to announce the winners of the 2016 Spider's Web Flash Fiction Prizes! First prize has been awarded to Andrea Barbosa, second prize to Jennifer Leeper, and third prize to Melissa Algood. Thanks again to our contest judges Kathryn Kulpa and Eden Royce.
